Nature photographer OLLI LAMMINSALO and sound artist KIRSI IHALAINEN decided to combine photo and sound through movement! Olli and Kirsi met in Kuusamo in the nature while Kirsi was recording the sounds of the wilderness. Then the idea of a joined exhibition was born, the photo getting a new dimension with the help of the sound. It was decided that Kirsi’s sound installation called Finnish Forest Frequencies would expand from the space to Olli’s photographs. The photographs would then come alive through the sounds and vivify the movements. This became a desire to create a space where the photo would bring the nature’s most beautiful and vivid but fast moments as visually soft snapshots, and the sound would present instead the rarely heard untamed soundscapes and the savagery of the wild animals. This way the exhibition combines the photos and the sounds into a big installation in a space. The installation will create a powerful emotional feeling where the listener will experience the atmosphere of the wild nature and encounter wild animals.
All photos and sounds are captured in the nature of Kuusamo.

In the exhibition, a brand new KELOSOUND® sound art product is available for testing, for listening to its sounds, and for hugging and pressing your ear against it.
