BLACK GROUSE TRANCE
Sound art work to pine cones (statue)
The black grouse is known as the sleep bird. When a feather or a picture of the black grouse is put next to the crib, it will protect the soul of the baby. The appearance of the black grouse’s tail feathers is reminiscent of the lyre. It is easy to fall asleep to the burbling sounds of the black grouse.
“Conduct thy blackcock here,
thy grey-hens here transport;
into the trees may the blackcock fly
may the blackcock take delight in it,
That he may not bark a warning
may the grey-hens cluck.”
